My name is Jay R. Didericksen. My wife, Camille, and I are the owners of Utah Cremation Company. We live in Grantsville, Utah where we both grew up and returned to raise our own family. We enjoy the small town feel and wanted our kids' close to their grandparents and cousins. Several years ago, I felt there was something missing in my life. I felt like I needed a career that would allow me to serve others in some way. I never imagined it would have been in this industry nor I had I imagined the blessings that could come from this type of service. In 2010, we opened a traditional funeral home in Grantsville named "Didericksen Memorial" that serves Tooele County. Then, in 2014, we decided to expand services to the Salt Lake valley with one goal in mind: to be Utah's most affordable cremation services.
Being a funeral director is more than just a career to me. I am able to take care of families during, possibly, the most difficult time of their lives. The connection with the families I serve is what drew me to this work. The past four years have been a rewarding experience for my wife, Camille, and I. We have gained a greater appreciation for our marriage, our children, and the relationships we share with others. I truly love what I do.
